We're all shaped by our experiences – both negative and positive – and, more importantly, how we make sense of those experiences. Just as our past histories have affected us, the way we relate to present situations can influence how we make choices for our futures.

Our work together may involve exploring your history, moving away from unhelpful patterns of thinking and behaviour, while also paying attention to how you are currently feeling, what motivates you and fulfils you as an individual.  The intention is to support you towards developing self-awareness and accessing inner strength, finding positive and creative strategies as an effective way of relating to yourself and the world.

 

I offer short-term and long-term counselling support in a peaceful space in Oldfield Park.  Together we can make sense of what's going on for you and help you move forward in your life.

Counselling Room

Engaging in counselling is an act of courage and can be a rewarding and healing experience.  It's important you feel safe sharing your vulnerabilities.  

 

Central to the process is the therapeutic relationship – based on authenticity, empathy and respect. Grounded in a person-centred tradition, I draw on a range of evidence-based therapeutic models, responding flexibly to your needs as an individual.
